#WrapUp - February 2020

Another month another wrap up! How quick did February go compared to January? Even with saying that I still feel like I had a better reading month this time round. I mean who even am I? 4 books ahead of my Goodreads goal & I've got no plans of slowing down.

Sims-a-thon TBR

For the month of March I shall be partaking in the Sims-a-thon which is a month long readathon based on the infamous Sims game & can be found both on Twitter & Youtube.

For this readathon you read book to create your sim & choose their path in the game etc. Basically like playing the actual game but instead of clicking the mouse to play your reading books instead. I have included the graphic down below so you can see the different paths to take.

#BookReview - Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

Pages - 383
Format - Kindle

Eleanor Oliphant has learned how to survive – but not how to live.

Eleanor Oliphant leads a simple life. She wears the same clothes to work every day, eats the same meal deal for lunch every day and buys the same two bottles of vodka to drink every weekend.
Eleanor Oliphant is happy. Nothing is missing from her carefully timetabled life. Except, sometimes, everything.
One simple act of kindness is about to shatter the walls Eleanor has built around herself. Now she must learn how to navigate the world that everyone else seems to take for granted – while searching for the courage to face the dark corners she’s avoided all her life.
Change can be good. Change can be bad. But surely any change is better than… fine?

#BookReview - Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

Series - Outlander #1
Number of pages: 880
Format: Paperback

What if your future was the past?

1946, and Claire Randall goes to the Scottish Highlands with her husband Frank. It’s a second honeymoon, a chance to learn how war has changed them and to re-establish their loving marriage.
But one afternoon, Claire walks through a circle of standing stones and vanishes into 1743, where the first person she meets is a British army officer - her husband’s six-times great-grandfather.

Unfortunately, Black Jack Randall is not the man his descendant is, and while trying to escape him, Claire falls into the hands of a gang of Scottish outlaws, and finds herself a Sassenach - an outlander - in danger from both Jacobites and Redcoats.

Marooned amid danger, passion and violence, her only chance of safety lies in Jamie Fraser, a gallant young Scots warrior. What begins in compulsion becomes urgent need, and Claire finds herself torn between two very different men, in two irreconcilable lives.
